Cant get CHATGPT 1 MONTH FREE TRIAL with my own credit card

Hello friends
I wanted to try the ChatGPT Plus 1 month free trial i put my own credit card but its getting declined with message “Payment was not approved”
Iam using “RedotPay card Bank”
tried the same thing using “Google Pay” linked to the same bank card “RedotPay card Bank”
declined too . (i do have found in my credit card 2.9 USD)

tried to contact support but its an AI chat :slight_smile:
what should I do ?

You get the trial with the card you already hold. Ten seconds in the app shows the reason, one fix per reason, and the same four switches unlock every other site that says no to this card.

   RedotPay app → [Transactions] → find the OpenAI attempt
      ❌ entry with an error  → fix the card side
      📵 no entry at all      → OpenAI's side, email them

  • :money_bag: Put $25–30 on the card. RedotPay declines when the balance is under the charge plus fees, and OpenAI adds a small test hold first.
  • :radio_button: [Cards] → [Settings] → [Security settings] → Online transactions ON → [Set transaction currencies] → USD ON. Then [Profile] → [Payment Settings] → [Payment priority] → the asset holding your balance.
  • :house: [Card] → [Settings] → [Change billing address] → the same name, address and postcode you type on the ChatGPT billing screen.
  • :mobile_phone: Google Pay: a new card takes up to 5 days to sync, and the wallet name + address must match the card. Add it in the Wallet app by [Enter details manually] (steps), then pick Google Pay on the ChatGPT checkout.

:no_mobile_phones: OpenAI’s side

  • :bug: OpenAI staff confirmed on their forum that “Payment was not approved” on the 1-month trial is a known issue on their end (the thread).
  • :e_mail: Email [email protected] from your ChatGPT login email: what happened, the time, a screenshot, and a HAR recording of the failed attempt (browser → Inspect → Network → record → repeat the payment → export). Same queue through the chat bubble on help.openai.com → [Payments and Billing].

:repeat_button: Between tries: wait an hour, remove the card from ChatGPT → Settings → Billing and add it fresh, incognito window, no VPN, finish the 3-D Secure code. Same card from a phone on mobile data passes for many.

Ten seconds in the app, one fix, the trial starts. Same four switches the next time any site says no to this card.
