So I’ve downloaded ChatGPT Desktop (got a ChatGPT Plus subscription) and you can Invite a friend so you both will get 20$/500 credits. And that works for free tier users too.
The steps are:
- You invite the friend via typing in their email address
- friend gets a mail, opens the that link
- friend downloads ChatGPT Desktop, and logs in
- the login requires SMS/WhatsApp verification
- done and installed, friend starts a chat with ChatGPT Desktop
- both get 500credits/20$
Now - has anyone found a workable method to load up on credits? ( bottleneck for me is SMS/WhatsApp verification step, none of the “SMS verification” websites seem to work - sometimes OpenAI recognizes it as a Virtual Number and doesn’t accept, sometimes OpenAI just says failed and offers WhatsApp verification).
