The twist? They still haven’t fixed the redactions. The “blacked out” parts? You can still just… copy and paste right through them. They know about it. They just can’t seem to stop it.
The worse twist? Files keep vanishing. At least 16 disappeared within 24 hours of the first release. Then in February 2026, the DOJ quietly pulled “several thousand” more documents claiming they accidentally exposed victim identities. The internet archived everything before they could.

📅 Full Release Timeline — Every Drop, Every Dump
Here’s what happened since the government was forced to start talking:
February 27, 2025 — AG Pamela Bondi releases “First Phase” of declassified files. A few thousand documents. The internet immediately discovers the redactions don’t work.
September 2, 2025 — House Oversight dumps 33,295 pages from the DOJ. This is when the browsers and search tools start popping up.
September 8, 2025 — First batch from the Epstein Estate. Personal documents, financial records, internal communications.
September 26, 2025 — Democrats release the third batch. Names that surface: Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Steve Bannon, Prince Andrew. The internet loses its collective mind.
November 12, 2025 — 20,000 more pages from the Estate. More emails, more financials, more connections nobody expected.
Late 2025 — Senate Judiciary writes to FBI Director Patel questioning the “no client list” claim. A bipartisan group of senators demands an audit of the DOJ’s compliance. Translation: even Congress doesn’t believe the DOJ is being straight with them.
January 30, 2026 — The big one. DOJ publishes 3.5 million responsive pages in compliance with the Transparency Act. Data Sets 1 through 12. This includes the 2,000+ videos and 180,000+ images nobody was prepared for.

Yep. Still works. As of February 2026, the DOJ has not systematically fixed this. They’ve been pulling individual files when people point them out, but the underlying problem remains.
🔍 How the Redaction Bypass Works (Still Not Patched)
The DOJ put black boxes over sensitive names and info. But they didn’t delete the text underneath. It’s just hidden behind a visual layer. The text is still in the PDF.
How to do it yourself:
- Go to the DOJ Epstein Library
- Open any text-based PDF (not scanned images)
- Click and drag over a black box like you’re highlighting text
- Hit Ctrl+C (or Cmd+C on Mac)
- Paste somewhere — boom, hidden text appears
You can also just Ctrl+F and search for names. The search finds text even under the black bars.
What’s been found so far: Shell company names, estate executor details, over $400,000 in payments to “young female models,” and a whole lot of names that were supposed to stay hidden.
Why this happened: The botched redactions trace back to the US Virgin Islands AG’s office from a 2020 civil racketeering case. They used superficial black boxes instead of actually removing text from the PDF. Then the DOJ inherited those same broken files and published them without checking.
Independently confirmed: Snopes verified the bypass works. Futurism documented the copy-paste method with screenshots. This isn’t a rumor — it’s been fact-checked by multiple outlets.

💣 Bloomberg — 18,000 Emails Investigated
Bloomberg obtained and verified 18,000+ of Epstein’s emails using cryptographic methods (they published their verification methodology which is wild for transparency).

WATCH OUT FOR MALWARE
Hackers are spreading viruses disguised as “Epstein files2.exe” and similar bait files. This has gotten worse with every new release.
Only download from official sources or the tools listed here. If it’s an .exe file, don’t touch it. If someone DMs you a “leaked” file, don’t touch it. If it looks too juicy to be true, it’s probably a trojan.
