Exploring Perplexity Pro Access & Available Options

Curious about the different ways people are accessing Perplexity Pro these days. What options, offers, eligibility routes, or alternatives are currently available, and what has actually worked for you?

Three things work today. Everything else you’ll read in this thread died months ago.

Every free-Pro list floating around is a graveyard with the dates filed off. The giveaway wave was real — carriers, banks, wallets and phone makers handed out Pro for a year. That wave ended. Here’s what survived it.

:white_check_mark: Working right now, zero cost, any country

The free Standard tier. Unlimited basic search plus around 5 Pro searches a day, permanent, no card. Most people burn 5 a day and never notice a ceiling.

Comet — Perplexity’s browser. Free worldwide since October 2025, no waitlist, no payment, and the paywall came off entirely in March 2026. Straight talk on it: free Comet runs basic models with limited agent actions, not Pro-level access. Perplexity’s own pricing table says so. It stays worth having.

The Search API Playground — their own search infrastructure, running in your browser, no account, no key, no card. Search only, no chat. Almost nobody knows this door exists.

:bullseye: Where the next one lands

These deals never launch in English first. A carrier or a bank switches it on for its own base, announces it in the local language, and English coverage shows up weeks later once the good windows are half gone.

So watch two apps: your mobile carrier’s, and your bank’s. Open the perks or rewards page in each. That is where the next twelve-month giveaway appears before any list on the internet carries it.

:headstone: Save your evening
