When you encounter any of these messages:
Issue 1: Trial Account Limit
Too many free trial accounts used on this machine.
Please upgrade to pro. We have this limit in place
to prevent abuse. Please let us know if you believe
this is a mistake.
Issue 2: API Key Limitation
[New Issue]
Composer relies on custom models that cannot be billed to an API key.
Please disable API keys and use a Pro or Business subscription.

Issue 3: Trial Request Limit
This indicates you’ve reached the usage limit during the VIP free trial period:
You've reached your trial request limit.
Solution - Trial Account Limit
Step 1: Quick Reset (Recommended)
- Close Cursor application
- Run the
ez-cursor-free(see installation instructions below) - Reopen Cursor to continue using
Step 2: Use ez-cursor-free, Click the “Auto Reset” Button
Wait for the automatic reset to complete. If the waiting time is too long, it may be due to network problems. Please see solution 3.
Step 3: Network Optimization
If the above solutions don’t work, try:
- Switch to low-latency nodes (Recommended regions: Japan, Singapore, US, Hong Kong)
- Ensure network stability
- Clear browser cache and retry
Solution - API Key Limitation
Step: Uninstall Cursor Completely And Reinstall (API key Issue)
- Download HiBit Uninstaller.exe
- Uninstall Cursor app completely
- Re-Install Cursor app
- Continue to Solution 1
