How are so many subscription services so cheap from resellers?

How are so many subscription services so cheap on different platforms? There are many online market places that sell accounts for a few dollars when the original price can be 5x or 10x or even more than that. How do these people do that?

Here are some of my guesses:

  • Hacked accounts or leaked accounts
  • Taking advantage of trials
  • A student account where they gain access to edu mail
  • Maybe buy the service themselves and share it with a lot of users

Please share your inputs too. But these are my guesses on how all this is done.

Yeah, Some are hacked, but subscription prices vary by region, for example, rates in India or Turkey aren’t the same as those in the US or Europe.

Did my own little deep dive (don’t ask how far the rabbit hole went :black_heart:) and… surprise, we’re guilty too :woman_dancing:. These “too good to be true” subs? Always stitched together from the usual circus: hacked creds, trial farms, fake EDU spoofs, VPN country-hopping, family-plan orgies, bulk gift cards, inside leaks, even cookie/session reselling. And yeah—some sellers (not naming names, don’t look at me :index_pointing_at_the_viewer: ) push it further with device bundles, charity discounts, or affiliate cashback loops.

Bottom line: cheap ≠ magic, it’s just loopholes on life support until the account flatlines.
