I have a Facebook account with more than 10,000 followers, and the account is dedicated to music. I was surprised to find that my account was recently suspended. What steps or procedure should I follow to recover my account? I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thank you.
Don’t touch the appeal button yet
“If you don’t appeal the suspension after 180 days or if your appeal isn’t successful, we’ll permanently disable your account. You won’t be able to request another review of the decision.”
— Meta’s own help page
One shot. A failed appeal ends the account — no second review. “Keep appealing till it works” is what kills these. You have 180 days; spend a few building the case.
First — read the notice, it splits into two worlds
| Notice says | Your route |
|---|---|
| The 2 levers below — skip the appeal | |
| Build one strong appeal, fire once |
A music page almost always lands in the first row. Meta’s system auto-flags music constantly.
Copyright route — 2 levers that beat appealing
▸ Get the report withdrawn → the takedown notice names the rights owner and gives their email. Meta itself tells you to contact them. Cleanest reversal that exists — labels pull reports on small pages more often than people expect.
▸ File a DMCA counter-notification → law, not a favour. Meta forwards it to whoever reported you. No court case filed = your content comes back. Most chancers never sue.
THE DOOR NOBODY POINTS AT
strike ─┐
strike ─┼─► repeat-infringer line ─► ACCOUNT BANNED
strike ─┘
reverse strikes one by one ─► drop under the line ─► back in
“If something you posted is restored due to an appeal or because a rights owner withdrew their report, we’ll take that restoration into account under our repeat infringer policy.”
— Meta repeat infringer policy
You don’t argue the ban. You dismantle what’s holding it up.
Two routes that look perfect and aren’t
▸ Appeals Centre Europe — free, independent, EU-certified, Meta legally must engage, now covers account suspensions.
EU residents only. Genuine gem for anyone here inside the EU.
▸ Oversight Board — their FAQ: “the account cannot be disabled and the person must be able to log into it.” Pages = future scope. Pure catch-22.
And the obvious one
Anyone selling “guaranteed Facebook recovery” is reselling the free appeal button or scamming you. The paid firms admit in their own writing that nobody can promise a reversal.
The button that gets your account back is the same one that ends it. Load it before you pull it.
Thank you very much .
