I Have ChatGPT Plus, Claude, Gemini Pro & GitHub EDU | What Would You Build for Passive Income?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for some ideas/advice on how I can make better use of the tools and subscriptions I currently have to build an additional source of income preferably something that can become semi-passive and scalable over time.

Right now I have access to:

  • ChatGPT Plus

  • Claude subscription

  • Gemini Pro/Plus

  • GitHub Education benefits

  • Various developer tools/services that come with GitHub Student/Education

I’m already working on a few projects side by side, so I’m not necessarily looking for another huge project that requires me to be working on it 8 hours every day.

What I’m interested in is building some kind of system, product, automation, service, micro-SaaS, digital product, website, API, bot, etc. where I can use these AI subscriptions and developer benefits to reduce the initial cost and speed up development.

The main thing is that I don’t want the business to depend permanently on these subscriptions.

For example, while I currently have access to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, GitHub Education, free credits, hosting benefits, APIs, etc., I’d like to use them as leverage to BUILD the system. Then, even if those subscriptions or student benefits expire later, ideally the product/system should already be generating enough revenue to cover its own operating costs and continue running.

Basically:

Current subscriptions/credits → build something cheaply → automate as much as possible → get users/traffic → generate recurring income → let the project eventually pay for itself.

I’m not expecting some magical “$10k/month passive income with zero work” method :joy:. I’m willing to build, code, test ideas, automate things and put in the initial work.

I’m mainly trying to figure out where the best opportunities are right now.

Some areas I’ve been thinking about are micro-SaaS, AI automation tools, niche websites, developer tools, APIs, browser extensions, mobile apps, templates/digital products, automated content systems, B2B tools, etc., but I’m open to completely different ideas too.

If you had access to the same resources today, what would you build?

Especially interested in hearing from people who have actually built small online income streams:

What niches/problems would you look at?

What can realistically be automated?

Would you focus on B2B, consumers, developers, students, local businesses, content, or something else?

And most importantly, what could I build now using these subscriptions that would still be sustainable after the free/student/subscription benefits disappear?

I’d rather build 3–5 small systems that each make a reasonable amount consistently than gamble everything on one massive startup idea.

Would really appreciate ideas, examples, or even weird/niche opportunities you think are currently overlooked.
