Re-Malwack ➜ free open-source ⟶ blocks ads/malware/trackers in EVERY app, not just browser, set once forget it
Your phone doesn’t need another ad blocker — it needs one that kills ads in every app at once, not just the browser. That’s Re-Malwack: free, open-source, blocks ads + malware + trackers across all of Android. Set once, forget. ![]()
How: it edits your hosts file (a tiny system list of which servers your phone may talk to). Ad/tracker server goes on the block list ➜ phone can’t reach it ➜ ad never loads, in any app. By ZG089.
Blocks out of the box: ads, malware, trackers (web + Google-served in-app junk).
Toggle on if you want: porn, gambling, fake-news, social sites — good for a family phone.
Your rules: whitelist (allow), blacklist (kill), wildcards (*.site.com).
Honest bit: can’t block ads baked inside an app (Facebook sponsored posts, Spotify) — those live in the app itself. Kills the web/external stuff, which is most of it.
No root? Still works. Rooted (Magisk / KernelSU / APatch) = full module + clean WebUI + rmlwk command. No root = paste one link into AdAway (free Local-VPN app), blocks system-wide anyway. Auto-updates the list.

No-root VPN link (paste in AdAway) → https://github.com/ZG089/Re-Malwack/raw/refs/heads/hosts-update/hosts
Latest v8.2. Rooted ➜ flash zip in Modules ➜ reboot ➜ WebUI does the rest.
One rule: don’t stack it with another hosts ad-blocker (AdAway, Magisk systemless hosts) — they fight over the same file. Pick one.
The ad server’s still up. Your phone just stopped knocking. ![]()
