Since your requirement is for heavy traffic. I would suggest top level hosting providers like WPEngine. or hostdzire.com
They are fast, reliable and the support is very active. WPEngine even provides daily backups.
If I had to pick one keeping in mind factors like Speed, User Experience, Performance and unlimited bandwidth.
Also, you can go for Vultr $5 VPS with One click WordPress Installation which gives you freedom from worry of traffic spike at least upto 10k Traffic. This again depends upon the script you use and configuration of your website if using any other script than said above.
