How old is “Pepaw” (Burntrap) in FNAF: Security Breach? (Timeline math help)

If we follow the FNAF timeline, I think Burntrap (aka “Pepaw”) would be around 90+ years old — maybe even ~100 — but I’m not fully sure.

Can you guys help me sanity-check this?

  • What age range makes the most sense based on the timeline?
  • And what years/events are you using to calculate it?

I’ve been stuck on this for hours doing timeline math (my brain is fried :sob:), so I’d love to hear your breakdowns.

William Afton was probably born around 1944-1950. How do we know? Dude had a teenage son in 1983. Unless he was knocking up women at age 12, he’s gotta be at least early 30s by then.

Security Breach takes place in 2035 — there’s a calendar in-game that proves it (March 9th = Friday only works in specific years, and 2035 is the first one that makes sense post-FNAF 3).

So:

  • 1983 → He’s ~33-39 (has kids, runs a business)
  • 1993 → Gets springlocked, dies at ~43-50
  • 2035 → Security Breach → 85-91 years old

🧠 The Plot Twist Nobody Asked For

Here’s the mindfuck: Burntrap might not even BE William Afton anymore.

The RUIN DLC revealed that Burntrap’s skeleton doesn’t match Springtrap’s original design — it matches The Mimic, an AI that literally copies shit.

So what’s probably happening:

  • Afton’s corpse is there (that’s the 85-91 year old meat)
  • But the thing controlling it? Might be an AI wearing a dead serial killer like a Halloween costume

So when you ask “how old is Pepaw?” the real answer might be: the body is 85+, but the brain is just code pretending to be him.
