Eleven doors into AI/ML work that stay open next year — not eleven job ads that die next week
Job ads expire. These are the places the ads come from — each one keeps refilling on its own. Every link was opened today.
PAID TODAY 1 · 2 pass a short test, start this week
BUILD THE RÉSUMÉ 3 · 4 · 5 · 9 free, global, credited work
ROLES THAT REFILL 6 · 7 · 11 lists that update themselves
ON A CALENDAR 8 · 10 know the month, set a reminder
1. DataAnnotation.tech — paid micro-tasks rating AI answers, hourly rate, weekly payout, any country.
Take the 10-minute reasoning test, start the same day. Cousins with the same shape: Mindrift, Avala, CrowdGen, Outlier, Welo, OpenTrain.
2. TELUS International AI Community — the vendor that labels data for the big labs, rolling recruitment, global.
Register, pass the qualification for one open project, get paid per task.
3. Talmo Lab, Salk Institute — a research lab whose page says “no prior ML research experience — show us your code,” open to anyone, not only its own students.
Email the professor with a GitHub link. This is the shape to search for on any lab site: “join the lab” + “undergraduate” + “no experience required”.
4. Hugging Face — Data is Better Together — live community datasets that need annotators; every contribution is credited under your name.
Join the org, pick an active project, label. Résumé line, not pay.
5. Kaggle Learn — free Intro to ML and Deep Learning courses, a certificate per course, notebooks stay public as a portfolio.
Finish Intro to Machine Learning in an afternoon, keep the notebook public.
6. Hacker News “Who is hiring” — a new thread every month, hundreds of companies, many remote.
Open the current month, search the page for “remote” and “ML”, reply to the ones that fit.
7. SimplifyJobs New-Grad-Positions — a GitHub table of entry-level roles that students update daily.
Star it, filter for AI / ML / Data, apply through each row’s link.
8. Merck Datathon — a yearly data competition with an India track where the sponsor interviews top finishers.
Watch the “Key competition dates” box; the 15-minute application opens with each cohort.
9. Google AI Essentials — Google’s own beginner certificate, five hours, free on this page. The same course costs $49 a month on Coursera — use this link.
Sign in with a Google account, finish the five modules, download the certificate.
10. AWS AI & ML Scholars — 100,000 free seats a year, 18+, no experience; the 2026 batch is full, the next opens around March.
Set a March reminder. Today: the free AWS Skill Builder courses linked on the same page.
11. zapply awesome-ml-internships — a GitHub list that scrapes company hiring pages for ML internships automatically.
Watch the repo; it does the “search every company’s careers page” trick for you.
India-specific bonus: NIELIT Virtual Academy runs a free self-paced Agentic AI course with open registration, and the government’s Fundamentals of Data Annotation using Python certificate runs in batches at 27 NIELIT centres — check your nearest centre’s page for the next batch date.
Tonight: the 10-minute test at door 1, join door 4, star doors 7 and 11. Four doors open before bed.
