Outlier AI verification keeps failing due to region restrictions. Has anyone found a valid way to resolve this?

Outlier doesn’t want you. Not personally — they just don’t operate in your country, or something’s broken between your ID and your location. That’s it. That’s the whole mystery.

:brick: Where It Actually Breaks

There’s not ONE wall. There’s like four of them stacked on top of each other:

Wall What It Checks What Happens
Country Gate Your IP address “Not available in your country” — you’re done before you start
ID Check Your document vs your location ID from Country A, sitting in Country B? Rejected.
Location Lock Where you verified from Work from anywhere else = banned
Payout PayPal/AirTM availability Some countries literally can’t receive money

Oh, and you only get 2 tries at ID verification. Fuck both up? Account locked. Permanently. No appeals.

Outlier says “61 countries” but won’t tell you which ones. Helpful.

Confirmed working: US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Philippines, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, most of Western Europe and Latin America.

Confirmed dead: Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan got nuked in March 2024. Thousands of people kicked mid-task with zero warning.

Permanently banned: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Sudan, Ukraine — US export rules, not Outlier’s choice.

India: Technically works, but PayPal is broken there. You’ll verify fine and then never get paid. Fun.

:identification_card: Why Your ID Keeps Failing

Here’s where most people die:

  • Your passport country ≠ where you’re sitting right now. US passport but you’re in Germany? They want German ID.
  • Name doesn’t match exactly. “Bob” on profile, “Robert” on ID = rejected.
  • Using a saved photo. They want live camera capture. Screenshots don’t work.
  • Ad-blockers or VPN running. Turn that shit off.
  • Wrong browser. Chrome or Firefox only. Safari is questionable.

If your country IS supported but verification keeps failing:

  1. Email [email protected] — tell them your country, ID type, and exact error
  2. Or submit a ticket here: Outlier Support
  3. Include screenshots, your exact name as on ID, and whether you’ve moved recently

If your country ISN’T supported:

There’s no hack. No trick. VPNs = instant permanent ban. They check.
