Is There a way that can get my telegram account Back?

My Telegram account is logged out and when i log in to it my sim was deactivated.i ask the help of ISP support center and they say my account is active but not recharge within too many days so they removed my number ownership and i ask them to how to get back?
they say we will tell you when the number available?
my problem is telegram wipe out all data within 1 year (i do not remember default time) if i login before their lease time over?
if i can not get the sim number within one year telegram wipe out my data associated with my account?
if there is a way that can get my account back?
(i can proof to telegram to my ownership)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or setup guidance!

:airplane: Your account isn’t lost yet β€” Telegram’s actual inactivity window is longer than most people assume, and you have several real recovery paths given you can prove ownership. :backhand_index_pointing_down:

:magnifying_glass_tilted_right: Correcting the Timeline First

WHAT YOU FEARED:
──────────────────────────────────────────────
βœ– 1 year (or less) β†’ total data wipe

WHAT'S ACTUALLY TRUE:
  βœ” Default self-destruct period = 18 months
(changed from the older 6-month default)
  βœ” User-adjustable between 1–12 months,
but only if YOU set it manually
βœ” Since you never touched this setting,
you're almost certainly on the 18-month
    default clock

Telegram’s default self-destruct period is 18 months, not 1 year, unless the user manually shortened it [1][2].

:stopwatch: The Clock Starts From Last Login β€” Not SIM Deactivation

CRITICAL DISTINCTION:
──────────────────────────────────────────────
Countdown begins: Last actual login/activity
Countdown does NOT begin: Date your SIM
                            was deactivated

ACTION:
β†’ Recall your last login date
β†’ That is your real deadline, likely
    further away than you think

The inactivity countdown is tied strictly to last login/activity, giving you more breathing room than the SIM deactivation date alone suggests [1].

:hammer_and_wrench: Your Recovery Options β€” Ranked by Speed

:one: Check for Any Still-Logged-In Device

CHECK: Old phone, tablet,
                     desktop app, Telegram Web

IF FOUND:
β†’ Settings β†’ Edit Profile β†’ Phone Number
β†’ Change to a number you currently control
β†’ Instantly solves everything, no SIM
    or ISP wait needed

If Telegram remains logged in on any other device, you can change the linked phone number directly without needing the old SIM [3].

:two: Check for a Linked Recovery Email

ON LOGIN SCREEN:
β†’ Tap "Need help logging in?"

IF PREVIOUSLY SET UP UNDER:
Settings β†’ Privacy & Security β†’ Login Email
β†’ Code may be sent to email instead of SMS

LIMITATION:
β†’ Only works if configured BEFORE
    losing SIM access

A pre-configured login email can allow Telegram to send the verification code via email instead of SMS [4].

:three: Contact Telegram Support Directly

GO TO: telegram.org/support

INCLUDE IN TICKET:
β†’ SIM was deactivated by carrier for
    non-recharge, not voluntary abandonment
β†’ You are actively trying to reclaim
    the number
β†’ Ownership proof: old chat screenshots,
    account creation date, linked email,
    Telegram Premium/Stars purchase history,
    mutual contacts, known user ID

NOTE:
β†’ Support cannot bypass the phone number
    requirement for security reasons
β†’ BUT a documented ticket filed BEFORE
    the inactivity deadline strengthens
    your case

Telegram support cannot override the phone number requirement for security reasons, but can offer guidance based on documented login history and ownership proof [4].

:four: Push Your ISP for a Firm Timeline

CURRENT RESPONSE: "We'll tell you when
                      it's available" (vague)

PUSH BACK WITH:
β†’ Ask for exact quarantine period before
    number reassignment (often 60–90 days)
β†’ Ask if paying the recharge/reconnection
    fee NOW can expedite reactivation
β†’ Escalate to a supervisor or formal
    telecom complaints channel if available

:bar_chart: Recovery Scenario Outcomes

:bullseye: Scenario :antenna_bars: Outcome
Number recovered within 18 months of last login Full account access restored via SMS code
Different new number obtained before 18 months Won’t help directly β€” use email/session recovery instead [4]
18 months pass with no login and no number recovery Account and data permanently wiped [1]

:white_check_mark: Immediate Action Checklist

  • :mobile_phone: Check every old device for a still-active Telegram session β€” this alone can resolve it in minutes
  • :envelope: Submit a Telegram support ticket today with your ownership proof, don’t wait for the ISP
  • :telephone: Return to your ISP and ask specifically for their quarantine period and reactivation-by-payment option
  • :spiral_calendar: Calculate your real deadline using your last login date, not the SIM deactivation date
  • :locked_with_key: Once recovered, immediately set up a login email under Privacy & Security to prevent this exact situation in the future

Given you can prove ownership and the default window is 18 months (not 1 year), your account has a real chance of recovery β€” prioritize checking logged-in devices and filing a Telegram support ticket now while pushing your ISP for a firm number-reassignment timeline. :mobile_phone_with_arrow::hourglass_not_done::white_check_mark:
