I’m honestly frustrated and confused about what happened with my online assessment, and I need some real advice.
Some seniors had suggested using an “always active window” extension for a proctored exam. I set it up before my assessment, but when I tried to tab switch later, the proctoring system still detected it, gave a warning, and the assessment got rejected in the middle.
After that, I tested the extension myself and found that it had stopped working. I also asked GPT about it, and it said Chrome may have patched some of those behaviors and that some browser events are no longer modifiable, plus proctoring systems have gotten more advanced.
I also had this idea about using interview assistant apps like Cluely to take ss and paste it into it, and it will remain invisible from the window, especially since the assessment is just MCQs, but now I’m not sure what’s actually safe or worth relying on anymore. I’m on a Mac, so I can’t really tweak much system-side either.
I have another assessment pending, and I don’t want to get rejected again because of some browser or compatibility issue.
