The gate is a US K-12 affiliation that Anthropic’s partner Goodstack confirms from a document[1][2].

A school address starts that check. The offer runs to 30 June 2027[2:1].

Verify yourself

  • Sign in with the school address your district issues
  • Open Claude for Teachers and choose Get verified
  • Goodstack confirms the affiliation from your document
  • Keep working while it runs — usually inside a day, up to three
  • Approval upgrades the account on its own

The district organisation — for the authorised technology lead[6]

  • Apply at claude.ai/k12districts and accept the K-12 terms[7]
  • Goodstack confirms the school or district, then emails the new organisation’s link
  • Publish the DNS TXT record on the district domain and verify it
  • Connect the identity provider: SSO required, just-in-time or SCIM provisioning on
  • Migrate accounts inside the 30-day window
  • One application per email domain at a time[8]

  • Re-verification comes round again, so keep the affiliation evidenced

Do not waste your time on this method; there are clearly red flags in this post.

Anthropic wants actual verified US K-12 educators or a real school/district with an authorized admin. A volunteer letter or random course certificate doesn’t magically make someone eligible, and just buying a domain / registering something as a “school” doesn’t mean Anthropic will accept it either.
